Surroundings

Nice villages, stately farms, old churches, grand landscapes… All is present. In the cottage you will find cycling as well as walking routes.

By car it will take you 10 minutes to Harlingen, also a beautiful city with lovely stores. Or, when you love the beach, you can take the ferry to the isle Terschelling. Another possibility is a visit to Leeuwarden (capital of Friesland) which will take you 20 minutes by car or you take the train, which leaves for Harlingen and Leeuwarden every half hour.

And also the other 10 Frisian cities are within reach. For instance Workum, Hindeloopen, Sneek and Bolsward which are all very nice cities. And if you are interested in history, you can drive the 'Aldfaers Erf' route, really magnificent.
